We have just spent two nights in the Lake District at Low Wray campsite – owned and managed by the National Trust. We had a beautiful spot right by the lake and have invested in a bigger tent this year – my old one being more of a back packing affair. The new abode feels so luxurious in comparison – room for a table and chairs – separate bedroom – a hanging closet ( natch!), even CC has been persuaded that camping might be OK after all….
A long walk along the lake shore took in the splendours of the scenery, the architecture of Wray Castle- a Victorian building which has always divided views on it’s suitability; and a short ferry ride to Bowness and then to Ambleside where we enjoyed a well earned pint.
Wow… Is it my eyes, or is your skill of photography getting… awesome-r? 😉
